Doubletree by Hilton to debut in Toronto’s city centre

6 Feb 2013 by BusinessTraveller
Hilton Worldwide is to convert the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto into its Doubletree brand later this year, joining the existing DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport. The 427-room hotel is located near the corner of Armoury and University Ave in downtown Toronto, close to the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra theatres, and the city’s stock exchange and city hall. Features include two restaurants, a fitness centre and indoor swimming pool, and 19 meeting rooms including a ballroom accommodating up to 400 guests. As part of the repositioning of the hotel into the Doubletree portfolio, the property will benefit from extensive refurbishment.
