New York’s Chatwal joins Luxury Collection

3 May 2011 by BusinessTraveller
Luxury hotel the Chatwal New York has joined Starwood’s Luxury Collection brand, making the Big Apple the first city to have properties under all nine of the group’s brands. The boutique hotel opened on Manhattan’s West 44th Street last September, within a Stanford White-designed building which formerly housed America's first professional theatrical club the Lambs Club. The hotel has now joined Starwood’s Luxury Collection under a license agreement, becoming the first property under the brand in New York, and meaning that Starwood is now represented by all nine of its brands in the city - Sheraton, Westin, Le Meridien, W, St Regis, Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, Element and Aloft. Other iconic properties within the Luxury Collection brand include Hotel Pulitzer in Amsterdam and the Turnberry Resort in Scotland.
