Auckland’s Hyatt switches to Pullman brand

21 Jan 2011 by BusinessTraveller
The Hyatt Regency Auckland has been rebranded under Accor's Pullman offering, the first property by the group’s business-oriented brand in New Zealand. Accor has taken over the management of the hotel following the sale of the property to new owners. According to the French group the Hyatt was the first five-star hotel in New Zealand, and is located in the city’s commercial and retail district. The 267-room hotel benefited from a NZ$7 million refurbishment programme two years ago, including all Executive level rooms. The property offers events facilities accommodating up to 1,000 delegates, including the top-floor Top of the Town boardroom with views of the harbour, city and parks. The hotel also features spa facilities including six treatment rooms, a gym, a 25-metre heated pool with a retractable roof, a steam room, spa bath, juice bar and spa boutique. Accor has around 30 properties in New Zealand under its Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Mercure, Novotel, All Seasons and Ibis brands. Later this year it is set to add Novotel and Formule 1 hotels at Auckland airport. For more information visit accorhotels.com. Report by Mark Caswell
