British Airways London Gatwick service to Lima, Peru, which started last year, has been cancelled for the forthcoming winter season.
The airline had a three-class B777 on to the route and operated the service three-times weekly during the summer and twice-weekly in the winter.

The flights are the only direct service between London and the Peruvian capital, a hub for BA’s Oneworld partner LATAM that will provide onward travel connections.
The intention was for the service to operate twice weekly this winter, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
A BA spokesperson said; “We regularly review our schedule to ensure that we are flying to destinations poplar with our customers, during the months they wish to fly. As such we will be suspending flights to Peru this winter while demand is lower, and instead will increase our flights to Mauritius. This winter we will now be flying direct from Gatwick to Mauritius five times a week.”
Passengers booked on these services are now being rebooked via Madrid (IB6650 / IB6651).
