Memorabilia Collection

WHAT’S IT LIKE? Hard Rock Hotel is designed with the spirit of rock and roll in mind. It targets the young-at-heart, offering accommodation and services that are cool, fun and edgy. A hallmark of this property is its memorabilia collection, something that we have come to expect in every Hard Rock property.

WHERE IS IT? Within the City of Dreams complex in Cotai Strip.

Rock Star Suite

ROOM FACILITIES There are 300 guestrooms, including 230 Standard Rooms, 64 Corner Suites, four Deluxe Suites and two Rock Star Suites. The Standard King Room where I stayed measures 31sqm and is also available in a bigger configuration of 42sqm. The room features the hotel’s signature Sleep Like A Rock® bedding, a state-of-the-art entertainment system including a multifunction iPod docking station, high-speed internet access, satellite TV, video-on-demand and a top range of the latest video games. The bathroom is stocked with signature RockSpa bathroom amenities.

ROOM HIGHLIGHTS The splash of colour and its contemporary interiors.

RESTAURANT AND BARS There are three bars and one restaurant, all underscoring the hotel’s focus on being informal and casual. Yo! Noodles is a quick-service dining outlet offering all-time Asian favourites such as Singaporean laksa, Vietnamese pho bo and Hainanese chicken rice among others. R Bar on level one is ideal for light bites all day long. Flame Bar on level two is a place to party and drink exotic cocktails. Wave offers alfresco dining with its poolside milieu. Already popular is its weekend buffet poolside barbecue that costs MOP$200 (US$25) for lunch and MOP$300 (US$36) for dinner.

BUSINESS AND MEETING FACILITIES Meeting spaces range from 53sqm to 180sqm and are equipped with LCD projectors, microphones, laptop computers and more. Separate breakout lounge and boardroom areas are available for larger gatherings. After the event, exclusive entertainment and dining privileges at the Hard Rock Hotel make for an unforgettable experience.

LEISURE FACILITIES Rock Spa on level three opens daily from 10am to 12am. There are seven treatment rooms inclusive of one couple’s room, sauna and steam room and a Jacuzzi. Other amenities are an outdoor heated swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness centre.

PRICE Internet rate for a midweek stay in December started from HK$1,068 (US$138) a night in a Standard King Room.

VERDICT Hard Rock Hotel delivers an upscale service that goes beyond its four-star category.
