Jet Airways B737-700 Economy

BACKGROUND Jet Airways offers online check in but we did not have access to a computer, so instead we arrived about an hour before our 1545 Sunday departure to Udaipur, on a B737. Jet Airways departures were from Terminal 3 of Delhi International Airport (also referred to as IGIA – Indira Ghandi International Airport), with B, C and D check-in islands. The Jet Airways Group mans 32 integrated check-in counters, located at islands C and D, for both domestic and international travel, significantly reducing check-in time for the airline’s guests.
THE SEAT There are several different configurations of the B737 with a combination of B737-700 and B737-800 aircraft, with differing numbers of business class (or Konnect Select) seats. On our flight rows 1-4 were 2-2 business seats, with economy in a 3-3 configuration. For the seatplan click here.
Economy started with rows 10-14, then row 15 which has slightly more leg room being an exit row over the wing, and then rows going back to 27. I was travelling with my family, and we occupied four seats in row 11. There was plenty of leg room.
THE FLIGHT We pushed back on time, and the captain warned us that we would experience some turbulence on the short flight (just over an hour) to Udaipur. He was right, it was a little bumpy, but once this had calmed down we were served a hot meal with vegetarian choice (potato cake and chick pea curry which was lovely) and meat (chicken).
ARRIVAL We arrived on time at the airport, and walked across the runway to the terminal.
VERDICT Excellent, with great staff. I was particularly impressed because later that evening the hotel where we were staying was contacted by the airline as my son had left his Nintendo DS on the aircraft. They said they’d hold it at the Jet Airways office in Udaipur until I came to pick it up (there was also an offer to courier it). Five days later I presented the boarding passes from the flight and received the game back, with also with a few low denomination notes still inside.
