Yotel to debut in Abu Dhabi

Capsule hotel group Yotel has signed an agreement to open two properties in Abu Dhabi.
The chain, which has established affordable “cabin-style” accommodation at Heathrow, Gatwick and most recently Amsterdam Schiphol airports (see online news September 30), has signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) to open "two or more Yotels" in the emirate.
Yotel at the Airport and Yotel at the Abu Dhabi City Centre will be developed by ADNH, with Yotel handling all opertaing and management aspects of the hotels.
Details are sketchy at present, but HE Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, chairman of ADNH, said that the concept “will ideally suit the needs of those who are in transit at the Abu Dhabi International Airport or those on short business trips to Abu Dhabi”.
Richard Riley, CEO of ADNH said: “Abu Dhabi is fast emerging as the MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) and business hub in the region. We expect that this new concept will meet the needs for more accommodation during big events in the Abu Dhabi emirate and will provide a practical solution at affordable rates.”
