Wyndham debuts in the Netherlands

15 Jan 2010 by Mark Caswell

The Wyndham Group has unveiled its first property in the Netherlands, with the rebranding of the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam.

Previously known as the Golden Tulip Apollo Amsterdam, the 223-room Wyndham Apollo Hotel Amsterdam is located to the south of the city centre, overlooking the convergence of five canals.

Facilities include a private harbour, six functions rooms accommodating events of up to 300 delegates, seafood eatery Restaurant la Sirene, a gym and business centre. The hotel’s public spaces and guest rooms are due to be renovated in the near future, with the addition of a new “Chill-Out Spa”.

Now part of the upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand, The Wyndham Apollo Hotel Amsterdam joins the brand’s luxury Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme (see online news September 28, 2009), and 230 European properties spanning several of the Wyndham Group’s 11 brands.
