Starwood’s Westin brand has opened a new property in Houston’s Memorial City district, joining two other Starwood hotels within the development.

Westin Houston Memorial City features 267 rooms, two club floors offering lounge access, an 18th floor fitness centre, spa treatment rooms and infinity pool with waterfall feature, 30,000 square feet of meeting space, and Italian restaurant Trattoria Il Mulino.

The hotel’s lobby also features a three-storey glass and wood staircase up to the meeting facilities, and there is a second floor terrace overlooking downtown Houston.

The Memorial City district includes the Memorial City Mall and a medical centre, both of which are connected to the Westin hotel by a skybridge, and the complex is located on Interstate 10 with access to Houston’s downtown area.

Starwood has a total of 14 properties in the greater Houston area, including the Four Points by Sheraton Houston, Memorial City, and the Sheraton Houston West Hotel, both of which are located within the Memorial City district.
