Waldorf Astoria to debut in Spain

9 Mar 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Hilton Worldwide is to rebrand the Hacienda La Boticaria hotel near Seville under its luxury Waldorf Astoria offering this summer.

Hilton is already managing the resort property, which will be renamed the Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria from early summer, marking the brand’s debut in Spain.

The 133-room hotel - which is situated in 40 acres of private land and opened in 2004 - is located 20 minutes from both Seville city centre and San Pablo airport.

Features include six private Andalucian courtyard gardens, extensive spa facilities, “several indoor and outdoor pools”, a golf driving range (with Club de Golf de Sevilla nearby), and an onsite equestrian centre with 16 thoroughbred Spanish horses and an antique carriage museum.

Hilton says that “the full culinary experiences are yet to be revealed but will fully utilise the beautiful hacienda setting and celebrate the best of Spanish gastronomy”.

There are currently three Waldorf Astoria properties open in Europe - Rome Cavalieri, Trianon Palace Versailles and the Bentley London, with London Syon Park due to open later this month, and Waldorf Astoria Berlin slated for 2012. Hilton also has six other properties under its portfolio in Spain.
