Waldorf Astoria opens London Syon Park

London Syon Park, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, located half way between Heathrow and central London, has this week opened its doors to the public.

The hotel’s branding and design concept has been inspired by the butterfly house that once stood in Syon Park. The spa, for example, is named Kallima, the Greek word for beautiful and the name of a leaf-mimicking butterfly.

The new-build property has 137 guestrooms and is situated within the Grade I listed Syon House estate. The grounds, owned by the Duchy of Northumberland, are seven miles from Hyde Park corner and the same distance from Heathrow T5.

Guests will be able to see more than 1,000 butterflies from all over the world in the lobby's Butterfly House, such as the "Passion Flower", "Zebra Longwing" and "The Red Postman" species.

For more information visit londonsyonpark.com.
