Vueling relaunches London-Vigo route

12 Apr 2011 by BusinessTraveller

The Spanish airline will retstart flights between London Heathrow and the Galician city of Vigo this weekend, a route last offered by Clickair prior to the carriers’ merger.

Vueling will fly the route three-times weekly during the summer months until October, departing on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Vigo at 1555, and from London Heathrow at 1735.

There are currently no other direct flights from the UK to Vigo, the largest city in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain. Clickair previously offered flights to the city in the summers of 2008 and 2009, prior to its merger with Vueling.

Iberia (which has a major stake in Vueling) will codeshare on the London-Vigo route. Vueling offers flights to three other Spanish cities from London – La Coruna, Bilbao and Seville.
