Virgin Atlantic’s new A330 aircraft made its inaugural flight today (Saturday April 2), and individuals had an opportunity to see the plane at Manchester’s Runway Visitor Park before it departed for Orlando.
The carrier has ordered ten A330s, with five due to be delivered this year and a further five in 2012. Initial deliveries will be used on leisure routes, and will feature a two-class economy and premium economy layout, with no Upper Class (see online news November 11, 2010).
Virgin is launching new seating on these aircraft, although specific details have yet to be released. A follower of Business Traveller’s facebook page has however posted a few images of the new interiors, which can be seen here.
Passengers will also benefit from a brand new inflight entertainment system, more details of which can be seen here.
