Virgin Blue unveils domestic business class

23 Feb 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Australian carrier Virgin Blue is to offer business class on its route between Sydney and Perth for the first time. The product will launch in May on its new A330 aircraft.

The airline will operate two new aircraft on the route from May, providing a three-times daily service from June. The aircraft will offer new “designer” economy and business class products, featuring “luxury leather seating”, seatback in-flight entertainment and 62 inches of seat pitch in business class.

Virgin Blue’s creative director Hans Hulsbosch said the seating and experience of the aircraft “has been designed to say contemporary quality, with luxury leather padded seating that feels as though you are driving a luxury sports car”.

Virgin Blue currently flies to 24 domestic and eight international destinations, operating B737 and Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft. For more information visit virginblue.com.au.
