Virgin announces Cyprus Airways codeshare

8 Jun 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Travellers will soon be able to purchase single tickets for connections between Cyprus, the UK and the US, thanks to a new codeshare agreement between Virgin Atlantic and Cyprus Airways.

The codeshare is set to take affect on July 25, and will initially allow passengers to benefit from single ticketing and through baggage check-in on routes between the Cypriot city of Larnaca, via London Heathrow and onto Virgin's US destinations of  Boston, Los Angeles, New York JFK and Newark.

Cyprus Airways has established codeshare agreements with carriers including Alitalia, Etihad, Gulf Air and KLM.
