US Airways to launch Cirrus business class seat

US Airways is to launch the JPA-designed Cirrus business class seat on its new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, according to reports from the Paris Air Show.

The fully lie-flat seat has been created by James Park Associates (JPA), the company behind the award-winning business class seating onboard Singapore Airlines’ A380s, as well as JAL’s new first class suite, and forthcoming projects with Arik Air and Gulf Air.

The Cirrus seat features as reverse herringbone design, which JPA says is unique and offers increased levels of privacy and direct aisle access. The seat design is also flexible in terms of width, pitch and surrounding furniture, allowing airlines to adapt the product as desired.

The seat includes stowage space for laptops, water bottles and headphones, and supports a 15-17 inch IFE monitor. Other features include a built-in reading lamp and cantilevered table.

Below are generic images of the Cirrus seat. For more information visit usairways.com, jpadesign.com.

All nice and well but most of US' TATL flying prgramme is being served by B757s with their clapped out ancient "Envoy" seat

I think it's only fair to mention the report, don't you? The original report - http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/runway-girl/2009/06/look-who-is-launching-the-cirr.html

HAS TO BE BETTER THAN THE LOUSY SEATS ON UAL'S 767'S. JUST WONDER IF THE BED IS FLAT OR ON AN ANGLE

Looks like something SQ would use in terms of color, so I'm sure US will use an altered version of the seat. Expect to see navy/blue theme.

Very nice seat. Light years ahead of what United is installing on their intl fleet!
