United Airlines will fly daily from Rome to its Chicago hub during the 2010 summer season.
The route will operate between May 1 and Aug 31, 2010, with the outbound flight departing Rome at 1230, arriving into Chicago at 1605. The return leg leaves the US at 1825, landing back into Rome at 1040 the following day.
Flights will be served by United’s Boeing 767 aircraft, featuring the carrier’s flat bed seating (click here for reviews of the product).
The new service is in addition to United’s existing daily flight between Rome and Washington Dulles. Alitalia currently offers six flights per week between Rome and Chicago, while American Airlines also offers a daily service between the two cities.
