Tunehotels.com invites guests to spend a penny at new London property
Published: 18/06/2010 - Filed under: News »
Budget hotel group Tunehotels, com is celebrating the launch of its first London property this August, by offering 1,000 rooms at the hotel for just one penny.
Located on Westminster Bridge Road next to Lambeth North tube station, the hotel is due to open in “late August”, and will feature 79 room in a converted office building, with rooms starting at 9sqm.
The Asian brand has established properties in Malaysia and Indonesia, and similar to the low-cost airline industry it charges a basic fee for the bedroom with ensuite shower, with optional extras such as towels and internet access charged separately.
The typical rate at the London property will be £35, but promotional rooms will be available at £9, and from June 29 the hotel will periodically release 1,000 rooms at just one penny, for sale online at tunehotels.com.
Tunehotels.com plans to open 15 properties across greater London by 2017, and is aiming for 100 hotels within its global portfolio by 2015.
