Budget hotel chain Travelodge is launching an account card offering up to eight week’s credit and allowing businesses to keep track of their hotel expenses online.
The Business Account Card enables corporate customers to book rooms online, on the phone, through business travel agents and in hotels. Account holders can also use the card in Travelodge’s bars and cafes, and can check their account online. A statement is issued monthly, with a further 30 days until payment is due.
In addition cardholders will Argos Reward points for every pound spent, with a quarterly statement showing their points value.
Travelodge says it aims to increase its number of corporate clients by 100 per cent in 2009, following a survey by The Association of Corporate Travel Executives, which found that 80 per cent of members are focussing their attention on reducing their outlay on hotels during the economic downturn.
