Ryanair’s website reservations system will be unavailable for just over three days later this month.
A statement on ryanair.com says that the system will be down from 2200 on Friday February 22 until 2300 on Monday February 25, due to an “essential system changeover / upgrade”.
The budget carrier goes on to warn customers that they will be unable to make, change or review flight reservations during this time. Web check-in services will also be unavailable, although it is understood that passengers affected by this will not be charged the normal airport check-in fee.
Ryanair says that all passenger travel will be unaffected during this period, and that non-reservation services on its website (such as car, hotel and insurance booking facilities) will still be available during the shutdown.
Ryanair recently increased airport check-in charges (see online news January 23), and last week announced a 27 per cent drop in profits during the last quarter of 2007. For more information visit ryanair.com.
