The big picture: St Pancras unveils Olympic Rings

7 Mar 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Travellers passing through St Pancras International station will be greeted by a 20-metre wide set of Olympic Rings.

Unveiled last week by Seb Coe and mayor of London Boris Johnson, the aluminium rings are nine metres high and weigh 2,300kg.

They are suspended from the roof of the Barlow Train Shed at the station, and are the first in a number of rings (along with the Paralympic Agitos symbol) that will be unveiled at key entry points to the 2012 Games.
