The big picture: Barcelona airport Terminal 1

Barcelona airport's new Terminal 1 was inaugurated on June 16, and already houses Star Alliance carriers serving the airport, while Oneworld will move operations on September 9. The new terminal, managed by state-owned Aena, features 101 boarding gates and 43 air bridges, and will be capable of handling 30 million passengers a year.
