The big picture: British Airways 'Firefly'

BA has released an official image of the Airbus A319 aircraft which will transport the London 2012 Olympic Flame to the UK later this week. The carrier's facebook page carries the image, along with the following statement: "Take a look at 'The Firefly' that will bring the Olympic Flame into the UK this Friday. "The special livery uses yellow, orange and gold as part of its celebratory design. "We are proud to be a supporting partner of the Olympic Torch Relay and to be flying the Olympic Flame to the UK from Athens on May 18, 2012. "‘The Firefly’ is an Airbus A319 and the name was chosen by schoolchildren in the London 2012 Get Set network." As reported earlier today, British Airways will fly the Olympic Flame from Athens to Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall this Friday (May 18), ahead of the launch of the London 2012 Torch Relay.
