TAM offers free helicopter transfers

Brazilian carrier TAM is currently offering free helicopter transfers for premium passengers arriving into and departing Sao Paulo.

The hourly service runs between Guarulhos international airport and the midtown airport of Congonhas, with a journey time is around 20 minutes, which TAM says is a considerable time saving on road transfers which can take up to two hours in peak traffic.

The new service is free to business class customers until August 31, after which it will cost from R$829 (£260) for a one-way transfer. The service also allows passengers to have their luggage collected or delivered for them at any address in Greater São Paulo.

TAM also offers a complimentary limousine transfer service for business class customers to or from the carrier’s UK base at Heathrow T4, within a 65-mile radius of the airport.

TAM is due to be introducing a first class product on its London route later this year - businesstraveller.com will have further details on this in due course.

Reservations for the helicopter and limo transfers can be made with TAM in the UK on +44 (0)20 8897 3700.
