IHG's extended-stay offering is to open its first property in Central America in late 2012, a 122-room hotel in Panama City close to the Figali Convention Centre.
The 13-storey Staybridge Panama City will offer studio, one and two-bedroom options, all with amenities including fully equipped kitchens, DVD players, and complimentary local phone calls.
Other facilities will include free buffet breakfast and guest laundry, a 24-hour business services centre, a library with books and games, a 24-hour convenience store, a fully-equipped fitness centre, a rooftop swimming pool, underground parking and meeting space.
The property will be the first by the Staybridge brand in Central America, and the second in Latin America, joining the 215-room Staybridge Suites Sao Paulo.
IHG is also set to open a Staybridge property in the Westfield Stratford City complex adjacent to the London Olympic Park, ahead of the 2012 Games (see online news January 1).
