Intercontinental Hotel Group’s extended-stay brand Staybridge has opened its second property in the UK, a 128-suite hotel in Newcastle.
Staybridge Suites Newcastle is located in the city centre on Buxton Street, close to the Quayside, with many of the suites enjoying views of the River Tyne and Millennium Bridge. The property is also situated on the line of Hadrian’s Wall, with elements of the wall preserved under the building.
Guest amenities include fully-equipped kitchens in all rooms, free wifi throughout the hotel, a “hub kitchen” with complimentary breakfast, laundry room, exercise room, and a 24/7 deli-style pantry.
The opening follows the debut of the Staybridge brand in the UK in Liverpool last year (for a full review of this property click here). Currently the only other Staybridge property in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region is the Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars which opened in November 2008. Two further EMEA properties are due to open this year, in Abu Dhabi and St Petersburg.
