Starwood’s Luxury Collection to open first hotel in Tokyo

Starwood Hotels and Resorts' Luxury Collection brand will open its first hotel in Tokyo in July this year. The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho will be located in the heart of Tokyo’s Kioicho district. The 250-room hotel will be housed within the mixed-use Tokyo Garden Terrace development, located on the 30th to 36th floors and featuring a lobby with panoramic views of the city. Other facilities include an indoor pool, spa, fitness centre, and bar with two-story floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel The Kioicho district is close to attractions including Shimizudani Park and Benkei Canal, and the hotel will offer transportation to nearby Akasaka Mitsuke station, connecting them to popular shopping and entertainment districts around 20 minutes away. Guests will have access to the hotel’s four restaurants and bars, as well as additional options within the Tokyo Garden Terrace. Shigeyoshi Akasaka, President of Prince Hotel said: “The demand for luxury hospitality continues to be on the rise in Japan, especially as Tokyo prepares to host the 2020 Summer Olympic Games and the Paralympics."
