Starwood’s St Regis brand has unveiled its latest property in Asia, the 297-room St Regis Shenzhen.
The hotel occupies the top 28 floors of the Kingley 100 building, which at around 440 metres high is the tallest building in Shenzhen, and currently the eighth tallest in the world.
The 257 rooms and 40 suites feature iPad 2 remote controls, and butler service for all guests, while hotel facilities include a 75th-floor swimming pool, and five restaurants and bars including the 96th-floor 1920’s inspired St Regis Bar and Drawing Room, and the 100th-floor Decanter offering “the largest selection of wines in Shenzhen”.
A 700sqm spa is located on the 75th floor next to the 28-metre infinity pool, and for meetings and events there are a total of 11 rooms including the 540-capacity Astor Ballroom.
Travellers looking to experience the hotel over the next couple of months can avail of introductory rates of £186 per night in a deluxe room, based on a minimum two-night stay.
The addition of the St Regis Shenzhen follows the opening of two St Regis properties in the Chinese cities of Tianjin and Sanya late last year - see online news December 2, 2011 for more information.
