Starwood has unveiled the 189-room St Regis Mexico City, the second property by the luxury brand in Mexico.
The 492-feet high, new-build hotel is located on Paseo de la Reforma, around 30 minutes from Benito Juarez International airport and around two miles from the Zocalo (the city’s main square officially known as Plaza de la Constitucion).
Interiors feature “bold colours and Mexican inspired design elements”, with rich green and purple colour schemes in the rooms, custom-made carpets and furniture, and Onyx mosaics in the bathrooms. Room facilities include 42-inch flatscreen TVs, DVD players, mp3 docking stations, and “an innovative LCD television recessed behind the bathroom mirror, enabling images to be projected onto a screenless surface”.
Diana Restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine, while the Decanter Room and King Cole Bar serves cocktails and afternoon tea. There is a Remede Spa offering, as well as a fitness centre and indoor pool, and for meetings there there is a 2,600 square feet Diamond Ballroom and four large breakout rooms.
The St Regis Mexico City joins the recently opened St Regis Punta Mita in Mexcio’s Puerto Vallarta. For more information visit starwoodhotels.com.
