Star Alliance partners Singapore Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines have expanded their codeshare agreement, granting SIA passengers smoother access to cities in Europe.
With immediate effect, SIA is placing its code on SAS-operated flights from Copenhagen to Berlin and Hamburg; Palanga and Vilnius in Lithuania; and to the Polish cities of Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw.
The two airlines received regulatory approval for a joint venture in November last year - the partnership includes the co-ordination of flight schedules and joint sales activities.
In August, SIA and SAS extended their codeshare agreement to cover numerous destinations in Europe, south-east Asia, Australia and New Zealand (see news, August 30).
The carriers first began codesharing in December 2010.
