Sheraton revamps Heathrow properties

22 Sep 2008 by Mark Caswell

Sheraton has completed the refurbishment of its two London Heathrow properties, including the addition of Club rooms and a lounge at the Sheraton Skyline.

All 426 rooms at the Sheraton Heathrow have been renovated, and the number of Club rooms at the property has been nearly doubled to 98. Meanwhile sister property the Sheraton Skyline now boasts 65 Club rooms, along with a Club lounge (pictured).

The additions are the result of the “huge success” of Club rooms since they were introduced at the Sheraton Heathrow last year. All Club rooms include the brand’s signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, sofa area, complimentary bathrobes, slippers and upgraded amenities, and unlimited access to the Sheraton Club Lounge.

The lounge is open 24 hours (accessible via guests’ keycards and manned between 6am and 10.30pm), and offers complimentary continental breakfast, drinks and hot / cold snacks throughout the day, departure and arrival screens, a 42-inch flatscreen TV, and two computer terminals with free internet access. Business Traveller recently visited the new lounge at the Sheraton Skyline, and found it to be comfortable, with a good range of breakfast choices (including bacon, eggs, cold meats, pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurts), and plenty of newspapers and magazines. There is a communal breakfast bar, as well as sofas in the TV areas, and several coffee-style tables for guests.

Both Sheraton hotels are located along the Bath Road, with easy access by taxi, the National Express Hoppa bus service, or local Transport for London buses. Room rates start from £79, with a £40 supplement for Club rooms at the Sheraton Heathrow, and £45 at the Sheraton Skyline.

Sheraton recently won Best Business Hotel Chain Worldwide at this year's Business Traveller Awards - for the full list of winners click here.
