Sergi Arola to head up W Paris restaurant

Two Michelin-starred Spanish chef Sergi Arola is to head up the signature restaurant at the forthcoming W Paris Opera, scheduled to open on Valentine’s Day.

Arola restaurant will offer a culinary concept by the chef called Pica Pica, with “a variety of creative dishes, comprising seasonal products and French classics, served on a platter in the middle of the table for all to share”.

Guests will be able to choose from food themes including “the garden at the table”, “the sea” and “the land”.

The restaurant will be the first in France by Barcelona-born Arola, adding to, among others, his eponymous Sergi Arola Gastro in Madrid and Arola in Barcelona.

The chef will also devise the menu for the W Lounge at the hotel, offering a range of tapas and montaditos (small dishes served on slices of bread).

The 91-room W Paris Opera is located on Rue Meyerbeer, close to the Garnier Opera House in the capital’s 9th arrondissement, and is housed within an 1870’s Haussman-era heritage building.
