Indian hospitality group Sarovar Hotels plans to launch ten properties in Africa in the next five years.

The group has taken over the management of Panorama Hotel (3-star) in the capital of Republic of South Sudan. It will be renamed to The Panorama Sarovar Portico, Juba.

All 73 rooms and suites of the property have a balcony with views of Juba. It has one restaurant and bar that serves local and international cuisines with an assortment of alcoholic drinks.

Sarovar Hotels’ ED Ajay K Bakaya says,

“This is a major step in our growth and expansion strategy and we are looking to operate ten hotels in Africa in the next five years. We see immense growth potential in this market with high demand and good occupancies in most hotels.”

Sarovar Hotels already manages Heron Portico and Zehneria Portico in Nairobi in Kenya and the New Africa Hotel (luxury) in Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania.

Portico is Sarovar Hotels’ full-service brand that falls under the 3-star and 4-star category.

In the next five years, Sarovar Hotels is looking to add six more properties to its African portfolio. Currently, the group manages over 75 properties globally.
