Ryanair to launch first UK route to Greece

The low-cost carrier is to start flights between London Stansted and Greece’s second largest city Thessaloniki from this April.
The three-times weekly service will commence on April 13, with tickets on sale from tomorrow (January 29) and fares starting from £37.99 one way inclusive of taxes.
Flight FR8582 will depart Stansted on Monday and Friday at 1215, arriving in Thessaloniki at 1750, with the Wednesday service departing at 1235 and arriving at 1810. The return leg FR8583 will leave Greece at 1815 on Monday and Friday (1835 on Wednesday), landing back in London at 1940 (2000 on Wednesday).
Easyjet, BA and Olympic Air all currently serve Thessaloniki from London Gatwick.
