Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has announced that it will be taking over management of the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.
Earlier this year, the French media reported that the luxury operator was in talks to manage the iconic property, but this was only officially confirmed today.
The 147-room hotel, which was built in 1758 and is located on Place de la Concorde, is currently closed for a two-year renovation and will reopen in 2015 (see news, March 2012).
It will be the second European property for the US-based company, which opened the Rosewood London on High Holborn in October (see news, February 27 and for a first look at the property from July, 2013, here)
The group will also be opening properties in Beijing (see news, June 2012) and Riyadh next year. It currently manages 18 properties in nine countries.
