Ritz-Carlton to open Tianjin property

Luxury hotel group The Ritz-Carlton will open its first hotel in the Chinese city of Tianjin later this year.

The 277-room Ritz-Carlton Tianjin will be housed within in a new-build, grand neo-classical style building, located in the city’s central business district by the Haihe River.

The hotel will offer four restaurants and bars, including a Cantonese restaurant with ten private dining rooms, each with its own wine cellar.

Other features will include a lounge for club and suite guests, 1,625 sqm of conference and meeting space, an indoor swimming pool and fitness and spa facilities.

Tianjin is situated in the north east of the country, with a 30-minute link to Beijing by high-speed train.
