The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced a new property in Morocco. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Marrakech Carré Eden is due to open in 2011.
The 204-room new-build property is part of the Carré Eden development in Marrakech, which will also include apartments and a shopping mall. The hotel will have two restaurants, a bar, a pool and a spa with a Moroccam hammam, as well as 1000 sqm of conference and meeting space.
The property is the third Rezidor hotel under development in Morocco, along with Radisson Resorts in Tangier and Saidia.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Marrakech Carré Eden is among the first new-build hotels to be announced under the new Radisson Blu branding (see online news February 5) - in the UK the Royal York Hotel in Brighton was recently rebranded as the Radisson Blu Hotel, Brighton (see online news April 14).
Rezidor has also recently launched a new website to promote the Radisson Blu brand. The new site allows customers to search for properties using Google Maps technology. Visit radissonblu.com.
