Carlson Rezidor is to open its first hotel in Slovenia with a Radisson Blu property in the capital Ljubljana.
Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana will be a conversion of an existing hotel when it is rebranded in late 2015.
The 236-room property is located three kilometres from Ljubljana’s city centre and is part of the BTC City business, retail and entertainment district.
The hotel will offer an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar, top-floor bar, three meeting rooms and a board room, and a gym.
Carlson Rezidor has also announced that it will be opening its first serviced apartment property in Istanbul, which will take the company’s presence in the city to nine hotels with a total of 1,800 rooms.
Radisson Blu Residence Istanbul Batisehir will feature 171 apartments when it opens in the second quarter of 2016. The apartments will range in size from 23sqm to 125sqm and other facilities will include free wifi, all-day restaurant, bar, business centre with four meeting rooms, gym and parking.
Rezidor CEO Wolfgang Neumann said: “We see a growing demand for serviced apartments – especially from business customers from the Middle East. The Radisson Blu Residence will further diversify our offer in Istanbul, one of Europe’s busiest and most attractive markets.”
