Qatar Airways and AA double codeshare agreement

3 May 2013 by GrahamSmith
Qatar Airways has doubled its codeshare service with American Airlines and has agreed a new codeshare with JetBlue. The announcements, which follow the Gulf carrier's inauguration into the Oneworld alliance last year (see online news, October 2012), further Qatar Airways' service expansion into North America. Under the American Airlines agreement, an additional 32 routes operated by AA and American Eagle will now come under the Qatar umbrella, bringing the total to 64. All are within the continental US and most fly out of Chicago O'Hare, although three leave from Houston and two from New York. From Saturday, the JetBlue agreement will cover 24 routes within the US, including Puerto Rico. All but one of these, from Washington Dulles, flies out of New York JFK. For a full breakdown of these Qatar codeshare flights with American Airlines and JetBlue, head over to Airline Route. For more information visit qatarairways.com, aa.com and jetblue.com.
