UK-based hotel chain Premier Inn has opened its third budget property in Dubai as it continues its expansion into foreign markets.
The Premier Inn Dubai International Airport follows two other developments within Dubai in the last 18 months – Premier Inn Investments Park and Premier Inn Silicon Oasis. The budget brand, which is owned by UK hospitality group Whitbread, also debuted in India with the opening of the Premier Inn Whitefield last year.
This latest hotel, offering 281 ensuite rooms, sits opposite Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 1 and 3 buildings, and is served by a free shuttle bus running every 30 minutes. As well as a restaurant, bar and coffee shop, the hotel has its own swimming pool.
Darroch Crawford, MD of Premier Inn Middle East, said the brand’s successful introduction in Dubai had opened up the Gulf region to anyone seeking better value for money.
Crawford added that Dubai’s Premier Inns were now a “great value alternative for those travelling on business” as well as holiday-makers.
The Premier Inn Dubai International Airport will operate under a partnership with The Emirates Group, a relationship first introduced back in 2008 to facilitate the brand’s growth in the Middle East.
Premier Inn said that plans to develop further sites across the Gulf States were “underway”.
