PIA to serve Leeds-Islamabad route with B777

18 Feb 2013 by BusinessTraveller

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is to roster one of its B777 aircraft onto the Leeds Bradford-Islamabad route, replacing the existing A310 service.

The larger Boeing aircraft will serve the twice-weekly route from March 13, offering 35 Business Plus seats and 294 in economy.

According to a PIA release posted on the Leeds Bradford airport website, the B777 will offer “increased leg room and a wide selection of refreshments from lights snacks to delicious meals” for both economy and business class passengers.

PIA has rostered the larger aircraft onto the route “due to the high demand from travellers in Bradford and the surrounding Yorkshire region who want to fly to and from Pakistan from their local airport”.

Flights depart Leeds at 1815 on Wednesday and Saturday, arriving into Islamabad at 0730 the next day, with the return leg leaving Pakistan’s capital at 1130 and landing into Leeds Bradford at 1600.

PIA also serves Islamabad from London Heathrow and Manchester, using B777 aircraft on both services.
