Philippine Airlines to go daily on Manila-London route

18 Feb 2016 by BusinessTraveller

Philippines Airlines (PAL) is to increase its Manila-London service to daily from June 28.

The carrier relaunched direct flights to London in 2013 (see news September 2013), and last year increased the service from three to five times per week (see news July 2015).

From June 28 flight PR721 will depart London Heathrow daily at 2250, arriving into Manila at 1950 the following day, with the return leg PR720 leaving the Philippine capital at 1320 and arriving back into London at 2100.

Commenting on the increase in frequency PAL’s president Jaime J Bautista said:

“[The] Positive performance of our flights to and from London can be attributed to the direct service, competitive pricing and the on-board offerings.

“Having daily flights will provide passengers taking the Manila - London route the flexibility to choose the schedule most suitable to their travel plans. The direct service to London Heathrow makes the journey most convenient and relaxing.”

This week PAL also agreed an memorandum of understanding with Airbus to order six of the manufacturers A350-900 aircraft, for use on the airline’s non-stop flights between Manila and the US west coast, New York and new destinations in Europe (see news February 18).
