The £45 million development, which is set to take three years to complete, will be the fourth project in Edinburgh by property developer Chris Stewart, who is responsible for two properties on Waterloo place now occupied by Apex and Travelodge hotels, along with another project on Baxter’s Place.
Motel One has a total of 32 properties across Germany in cities including Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart, with another two under development in Austria.
