Miles and More partners with BAA Worldpoints

Members of the Lufthansa-led Miles and More loyalty scheme will soon be able to exchange BAA Worldpoints for miles, with a reciprocal agreement to follow next year.
The agreement, which starts on December 1, means members of the two schemes can exchange 250 Worldpoints for the same number of Miles and More miles.
From early 2010 there will be a reciprocal agreement whereby Miles and More members will be able to redeem their miles for Worldpoints airport shopping vouchers, at a rate of 7,500 miles for £20 in vouchers, and 1,875 for additional £5 vouchers.
Worldpoints already partners with several frequent flyer schemes (including Virgin and Bmi) to allow members to exchange points for airline miles, but this is the first agreement where airline miles can be exchanged for Worldpoints.
The Miles and More scheme encompasses nine airlines, including Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss, Brussels Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.
