Maxjet to serve Las Vegas from Stansted

All business-class airline Maxjet will start flying twice weekly between Stansted and Las Vegas on November 2. It's the first ever link between the two airports and it means that travellers in London and the SE will have access to business class fares costing substantially less than those charged by Virgin Atlantic whose daily flights depart Gatwick.

Maxjet is charging from £999 return for its B767 flights which will operate from Stansted every Monday and Thursday. The westbound flight will depart Stansted at 1300 arriving into Las Vegas the same say at 1700. In the return direction, Maxjet's service departs Las Vegas at 1930 to reach Stansted the next morning at 1230.

Says Maxjet's CEO Gary Rogliano, "The UK is the second largest market to Las Vegas and we are responding to customer demand for an affordable non-stop business class service from London. The addition of this new route also means that connections to the US West Coast are now much easier."

At the same time, Maxjet is retiming all its existing flights from October 1. Services will all depart later than before with the New York JFK service leaving Stansted at 1145 and returning at 2015. The Washington Dulles flight will leave Stansted at 1500 returning at 2030.

Meanwhile rival airline Eos will increase its Stansted - New York service to twice daily (Sunday to Friday) from tomorrow (September 8). Departures to JFK from Stansted will now leave at 1040 and 1900, arriving in New York at 1325 and 2145 respectively. Flights from New York will depart at 1915 and 2100, arrving in Stansted at 0740 and 0900.
