Maxjet relaunches
Published: 15/04/2008 - Filed under: News »
Defunct airline Maxjet has been given a new lease of life, but fans of the carrier shouldn’t get too excited – the brand is to become a US charter airline.
Maxjet is now under the ownership of the NCA Sports Group, which offers charter solutions for university sports programmes. NCA has kept the existing logo and website address, at least for now, and says it has licences to fly to 89 countries worldwide.
The original Maxjet airline went into liquidation on Christmas Eve last year (see online news January 2). Rivals Eos and Silverjet continue to serve the all-business class market, although the latter announced last week that it is in talks about a possible takeover.
