Business-class only carriers Maxjet and Eos have both stepped up their schedules to US cities this month. From the end of March Maxjet has added a third weekly flight to Las Vegas, while rival Eos is increasing its Stansted-JFK flights to 16 each way per week (up from 13) from April 15.

The new Saturday Maxjet flight MY701 departs Stansted at 1100, arriving in Las Vegas at 1430, with the return flight MY702 leaving at 1700 and arriving in London at 1100 the next day.

Meanwhile Eos' additional flights see an extra 1300 service (EO0005) leaving Stansted on Sunday, Monday and Thursday, arriving JFK at 1545, with the return leg (EO0006) departing New York at 2255 and arriving in London at 1055. Regular Eos passengers should note that the new flights include access to the KLM lounge at JFK's Terminal 4, rather than the usual Emirates lounge at the same terminal.

In other news, British based business-class carrier Silverjet has announced it is raising £26m through a share issue, in order to finance the leasing of two new aircraft. The airline, which is due to start a second daily flight from London Luton to New York Newark from this July, said it sold 59 per cent of available seats in March, "significantly ahead of expectations."
