MAS to serve Paris with A380 from March

22 Jan 2013 by BusinessTraveller

Malaysia Airlines will add the A380 superjumbo to its daily flights between Paris and Kuala Lumpur from March 1, replacing the B777 currently serving the route.

The move will increase seat capacity on the route by 75 per cent, with the A380 seating 494 passengers compared with the B777’s 282, and will also see the introduction of first class on the route.

It will be the second European route served by MAS’ superjumbo, with the carrier having launched the aircraft on its London service in July last year (for a Tried and Tested review of the business class seat on this aircraft, click here).

Malaysia Airlines is also set to join the Oneworld alliance on February 1 (see online news October 29, 2012). MAS is preparing for the inaugural celebrations by posting a series of You Tube videos on its Facebook page, featuring the carrier's CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.
