MAS to offer daily A380 flights to London

13 Aug 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will increase its A380 London service from three times-weekly to daily from tomorrow (August 14), following the delivery of the airline’s second Airbus superjumbo.

The Kuala Lumpur-based carrier launched its A380 on the London Heathrow route last month (see online news July 2), featuring 350 economy and eight fully-flat first-class seats on the lower deck, and 66 fully-flat business class and a further 70 economy seats on the upper deck.

MAS initially rostered the superjumbo on three flights per week, but the delivery of a second A380 means it can now offer a daily A380 service, starting tomorrow.

Flight MH3 departs Heathrow at 1200, arriving into KL at 0735 the following day, with MH2 leaving the Malaysian capital at 2340 and landing into London at 0550 the following day. The carrier's other daily service between London and KL will remain operated with a B747 aircraft.
