MAS to increase Paris-KL frequency

Malaysia Airlines is to move to a daily service on its Paris-Kuala Lumpur route from the end of March, up from its current five-times weekly offering.
The additional flights will operate from Paris on Wednesday and Friday (Thursday and Saturday from KL) with the new timetable taking effect from March 28. From this date all flights will depart Kuala Lumpur at 2335, arriving in Paris at 0640, with the return leg leaving France at 1200 and landing back into Malaysia at 0635 the next day.
Malaysia Airlines Senior General Manager, Network and Revenue Management, Dr Amin Khan said, “We have seen an increase in demand and as the result, forward bookings are also much healthier compared to last year. Our load factor is strong at about 80 percent and thus, we want to take this opportunity to cater for this growth.
Rival carrier Air Asia recently announced that it would be starting flights between Paris and KL (see online news October 8, 2009), although it has yet to reveal when these flights will commence.
